Meet the folks who make it all happen. We see big potential in every moment, and care deeply about what we do.
All four instructors are founding members of the Northern Allegheny Mountain Bike Assoc.. This initial collaboration focused on creating enjoyable group rides for riders of all levels, while bringing MTB awareness and access to the Allegheny National Forest. This grew into organized group rides, trail maintenance, repair and reroutes, which eventually developed into trail design. All of the instructors have completed at least one International Mountain Bike Assoc. (IMBA) trail care crew seminar.
As instructors, all of the team has completed certification with the Bike Instructor Certification Program (BICP). Through the past few years, their skills have developed with experience as ride guides, school programs, outdoor festivals and youth camp. As a faith in the forest ministry, under the umbrella of The Chapel at Tidioute Creek, the entire team is obligated to complete all child clearances, basic CPR and first aid.
The members of Rock Solid are not doing this as a side gig, or to create a profession. They have committed and sacrificed on multiple occasions simply to bring the joy of riding to others. They also see the value in using mountain bikes as a vessel to teach important moral life lessons.
